Service to others is a very important part of making a community. As I said in my last post, a
community is a mutual respect. By helping and serving others you are allowing the respect between others and yourself to grow. This growing respect allows the community to thrive and grow stronger. Therefore, service to others is an extremely important part of a community.

What is Community?
What is a community? well, in my opinion, a community can not be placed under a clear-cut definition. T
o me, a community is a matter of respect. Many people feel that people in a community must share similar beliefs, but this is, more often than not, a false conclusion . A community is a place where people respect you and accept you, no matter what your beliefs are. In my opinion, a community is more than a physical group of people; It is a state of mind where there is a mutual respect for one another. Not everyone in a community will get along and there will be conflicts that arise all because of differences in beliefs, but as long as there is a mutual respect, a community is present. The world is one big community because there is a general respect for one another even thought there are millions of different beliefs.
Since community, to me, is a state of mutual respect, I feel that people affect the community in a large way, but the community doesn't necessarily affect the people in a large way. For example, people affect the community because if people don't respect each other, then no community exists. When people have a better understanding of those around the
m, they're able to have more respect for one another, thus improving the community.
